EU project ‘Measured’: Optimised membranes for the chemical industry
Our R&D team from Veilsdorf contributes its expertise together with 16 partners from nine countries in the EU-funded project "Measured." The goal of this four-year project, running until the end of 2026, is to develop innovative membranes for the chemical industry. These membranes will be used in the areas of pervaporation (purification of liquid mixtures), membrane distillation, gas separation, as well as carbon capture and utilization. Through their efforts, the project partners aim to establish a foundation for the future commercialization of more environmentally friendly products and technologies along the entire value chain.
The Rauschert team is tasked with developing and producing specialized ceramic membranes. These will subsequently be modified by our partners to create selective gas separation membranes. Within this framework, we support the process from the initial trials with externally coated single-channel membranes, through technology development, to the production of internally coated multi-channel membranes on an industrial scale. This enables their use in the test facility and establishes the basis for a groundbreaking technology in terms of sustainability.
