ApplicationsSolutions in use

  • Rauschert - Division: Electrotechnical Ceramics -
Application: NH Fuse Bodies
    NH Fuse Bodies
The NH fuse is the global standard for protecting high currents and is installed in factories, photovoltaic systems, wind farms and electric vehicles. In addition to the standard types NH000, NH00, NH0, NH1, NH2, NH3, NH4, our product range also includes various special types (e.g. high-speed fuses). We use the materials steatite, cordierite C410 and aluminum silicate and can manufacture the fuse cartridges using the dry pressing or extrusion process.
  • Rauschert - Division: Electrotechnical Ceramics -
Application: MV Fuse Bodies
    MV Fuse Bodies
Our MV fuse bodies are manufactured from high-quality C130 alumina porcelain using a high-precision extrusion process, while the associated winding bodies (star tubes) are made from standard C110 porcelain. These medium-voltage fuses are ideal for use in power distribution and large installations. A reliable power supply in the medium voltage range is particularly important here.
  • Rauschert - Division: Electrotechnical Ceramics -
Application: LV Fuse Bodies
    LV Fuse Bodies
Our cylindrical fuses are ideal for use in households and smaller industrial installations. Manufactured from dense cordierite C410 and available in the standard sizes CH8, CH10, CH14 and CH22, we produce these high-quality fuse bodies in millions of units per year at three locations. We also offer a wide range of customised special types.
  • Rauschert - Division: Electrotechnical Ceramics -
Application: DIN Fuse Bodies
    DIN Fuse Bodies
A large number of existing building installations ensure that the traditional DIN (Siemens) system remains up-to-date. It is also used to protect large electrically operated machines and in outdoor areas. Rauschert produces a complete range of D and D0 system fuse bodies in the application range from 2 A to 100 A. We also manufacture customised screw caps and fuse bases completely assembled.
  • Rauschert - Division: Electrotechnical Ceramics -
Application: BS Fuse Bodies
    BS Fuse Bodies
Based on British Standard certified ceramic formulations, we manufacture a wide variety of extruded fuse bodies. These can be used in the UK and many other countries.
  • Rauschert - Division: Electrotechnical Ceramics -
Application: High Performance Switch
    High Performance Switch
Rauschert has developed an innovative insulating ceramic made of zirconium silicate especially for spark chambers and high-performance switches. We manufacture a wide range of customised products for leading suppliers of switching technology, which are used in power distribution and railroad technology.
  • Rauschert - Division: Electrotechnical Ceramics - High Performance Switch
Resistance and heating cable support elements
At high currents, our ceramic support elements ensure the safe separation of electrical cables in large systems, such as elevator systems. They are also used in resistors for controlling air conditioning systems. Our ceramic carriers are indispensable in electrical heating systems, from decentralised water heaters in households to temperature control for the jackets of plastic injection moulding machines. Rauschert offers you a wide selection of geometries and materials, which we tailor to your individual requirements.
  • Rauschert - Division: Electrotechnical Ceramics - Cartridge heaters and thermocouples
    Heating cartridges and thermocouples
For compact high-performance cartridge heaters, such as tool heaters and thermocouples, we manufacture insulation tubes made of magnesium oxide. This material offers outstanding electrical insulation and excellent thermal conductivity, allowing heat to be transferred efficiently and without loss. The temperature can also be precisely controlled. We offer a wide range of extruded insulation tubes, even in small dimensions, and manufacture moulded parts using the dry pressing process. In close consultation with you, we adapt formulations and mechanical properties precisely to your needs.

Advantages

Why Rauschert

Excellent insulation properties and high mechanical strength

Our electrical ceramics provide excellent insulation and mechanical strength, enabling the safe handling of electronic products.

Thermal shock resistance and durability

Our ceramic components are thermally shock-resistant as well as corrosion-resistant, making them exceptionally durable. Additionally, they can be disposed of or recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

Comprehensive reach and adaptability

We offer a wide range of fuse bodies and customised products that cover almost all application types and fuse systems.

Intelligent production network

With automated production lines and a geographically well-distributed manufacturing network, we offer high capacities and competitive cost structures. Our production focus in Europe ensures short transport distances for many customers and contributes to a reduced carbon footprint.

Extensive selection of materials

Truly unique in the industry, is our extensive range of all proven materials – from steatite and cordierite to alumina. In our in-house laboratories, we also develop customised formulations. This enables us to offer the right material for all applications.

Stable quality for automated assembly

Thanks to our highly automated production, we can manufacture fuse bodies with high precision and tight tolerances in large quantities. This enables our customers to assemble them on automated lines (e.g., manufacturers of electric vehicles).

Materials

the right base

The choice of the right material is crucial for electrical applications. Our ceramic materials are characterised by excellent electrical insulation properties, thermal resistance, and mechanical strength. Our electrical engineering team supports you from the beginning, providing comprehensive advice on selecting the optimal material. We take into account all relevant specifics of your desired ceramic component to ensure the ideal material is chosen from the outset.

Rauschert offers one of the most extensive material ranges in the ceramics industry. We develop and manufacture components from nearly all oxide ceramics, non-oxide ceramics, and silicate ceramics. Our materials are based on proprietary formulations and are processed in our own preparation facilities.
